Facebook isn’t dead. And depending on your niche and target audience, one of the best ways to promote your blog might be to actually grow your Facebook business page.
And if you’re totally lost on how to even use Facebook to grow your website or drive more traffic to it, don’t worry, got you covered! Here are 8 Tips to help you grow your Facebook business page, so you can get more eyes on your blog!

How To Grow Your Facebook Business Page For Your Blog
Create A Facebook Page For Your Blog
Facebook makes promoting your blog way easier with the Business Page feature! Instead of having to use your personal Facebook page to promote your blog, you can easily create a Business page instead!
Creating a Facebook Business page for your blog is really easy, but here are a few tips to help you set one up for maximum growth!
First, you want your Facebook Business page to have the same name as your blog, so your readers can easily find it. Add a profile photo, or your logo, and a branded banner too. This will help readers easily identify your page!
You also want to make sure you fill out your “about” information. This is where potential readers and followers will find out what kind of content they can expect from you. You want your “about” section to offer a detailed explanation on what you’ll provide them with, but you also want to keep it short and sweet, (aka get to the point).
Don’t forget to add in your contact details, (email address or phone number), so people can easily contact you. And don’t forget to include a link to your website!
Invite Friends To Like Your Page
When you first create your Facebook business page, you’ll have the ability to invite your friends from your personal Facebook account to like your page.
You can choose to invite everyone on your friends list to like your business page, but many may not respond or may deny it. Other’s might accept your invite to like your page, but never engage with it because it’s content they’re not really interested in.
The best thing to do is to go through and invite people from your friends list that will actually be genuinely interested in the content you’ll be posting. These people are more likely to like, comment on, or share your posts, which means more eyes on your content.
Another thing to remember is that having a large number of people who like or follow your Facebook page means nothing if those people aren’t engaging.
Content
Facebook is a great place to share content because it allows you to do it all.
Unlike Twitter, with it’s 280 character limit per post, there isn’t really a character limit on Facebook. (Technically it limits you to 63,206 characters but don’t worry, that’s a lot more than you’ll ever need). And unlike Instagram, which doesn’t allow you to share links within posts, Facebook let’s you share as many as you’d like.
This is what makes Facebook a great place to share your content, since there’s no limit on what you can post!
As far as what kind of content to post on Facebook, it varies depending on your blog niche and what kind of content your audience likes and engages with.
You can create stand-alone content, or “exclusives”, that are related to what you talk about on your blog. For example, if you have a food blog that mostly shares recipes, you can discuss your favorite ingredients or tools to use on your Facebook page. You can then add a high quality photo showing them off, and a link to a related blog post.
Another thing to consider when creating content for your Facebook page is to think of content that has a higher rate of being shared! Quotes and inspirational posts are often shared by people on Facebook. So are stand-out photos, or stories that are motivating, uplifting, or funny! Think about what kind of share-worthy content you can share with your readers!
And don’t forget to always share a link to your latest blog posts on your Facebook page!
Page Insights
Did you know Facebook has a spot for you to check out your page insights? Well it does! And the page insights spot is a great place for you to learn more about your engagement.
In the Page Insights section of your Facebook page, you’ll be able to see what content is most engaged with, how much your page is growing, and more super helpful information.
It’s a good idea to view your insights regularly to see how your page is doing. You can also use the information shown to plan out future content for your page!
Invite Other People To Like Your Page
Sometimes people who haven’t already liked or followed your Facebook business page will engage with it. They might happen across your page, or maybe someone shared one of your posts. Either way, you should definitely send them an invite to like your page!
Since these people are already engaging with your posts, they might be interested in following it. Regularly go through your Facebook page post likes and send an invite to anyone who hasn’t liked your page yet!
Sometimes they won’t accept the like but other times they will. It doesn’t hurt at all to try!

Use Affiliate Links
Not exactly a tip on page growth, but a very useful thing I wanted to include anyways.
Depending on the affiliate program or network you’re in, you may be able to share affiliate links directly on your Facebook page!
Sharing your favorite products or services is a great way to increase engagement. Your followers and readers are always looking for the products and services you use and love! Plus, it can also be a great way to boost affiliate sales.
Share some things you’ve been loving and include your affiliate links. Post a mini review of a product or service on your Facebook page and include an affiliate link for it. Create a round-up post for your Facebook followers and link all of the products mentioned.
Big Tip: Always make sure to read the rules of the affiliate program to make sure you’re allowed to share on social media. And always, always disclose that you’re using an affiliate link!
Consider Paid Advertising
And one final, and totally optional, tip to help grow your Facebook business page is to consider using paid advertising.
Facebook gives those who run business pages the option to pay for advertising. Ads vary in pricing, but price is typically determined based on what your overall goal is, the amount of exposure you want, and how long you want the ad to last. You can also choose a specific amount you want to spend and Facebook will show you the estimated number of people who will see it!
The coolest thing about the Facebook business page ads is that you can choose exactly what results you want from the ads. So if your goal is to get more engagement on your Facebook page posts, you’ll be able to select that option, and the ads will be shown to people most likely to engage.
There are a number of ad result options you can choose from such as more website clicks, more Facebook post engagements, or more direct messages.
Some bloggers claim they’ve had great success from using Facebook’s paid ad feature. But you do have to consider that results vary from person to person. Results also vary based on topic, niche, and type of content.
BONUS!
You can also use Facebook groups to help boost more traffic to your site or grow your Facebook business page!
You can join Facebook groups filled with helpful tips, strategies, and discussions to help you grow your page or website, or you can even create your own!
If you’re choosing to create your own Facebook group make sure it’s a group that’s beneficial to all members, not just yourself! Start helpful discussions, share tips, or ask questions to not only get support for yourself, but to offer support to the members in your group!
